Why should I order a sample?
We always advise you order a sample because everyone's space, lighting and environments are different. Color reference and matching is best represented with physical samples. We do not recommend color matching through virtual representation. To order a sample open the 'Panel Size' drop down menu on the product page and select 'Sample.' Our samples show you an 8 x 11ft scaled full wall overview, plus an 8 x 11in actual size.

Which material should I choose for my wallpaper?

It is a permanent wall covering option that requires a wallpaper paste/glue for installation.

2. Peel & Stick Wallpaper - For those who value flexibility and ease, our Peel & Stick wallpaper is the go-to option. This material features a sticker backing that makes installation and removal a breeze. With a semi-matte vinyl finish it’s the ideal choice for renters, frequent redecorators, or anyone seeking a temporary style upgrade.
Best For: Apartments, dorms, kids’ rooms, and DIY projects where simplicity and flexibility are key.
3. Peel & Stick LUXE - Combines the ease and flexibility of our Peel & Stick with the thick, luxuriousness of our LUXE Traditional wallpaper.
Best For: Easy install in living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, and other spaces where durability and elegance are desired.
What surfaces can I apply my wallpaper to?
We highly recommend smooth wall surfaces for installation. If your wall is softly textured, bumpy or newly painted, the product will work but texture will be visible thru the vinyl. Suther Creative cannot be held responsible if wallpaper applied to a bumpy texture does not stick. That being said, most applications on lightly textured surfaces should fair well.
How do I measure my wall?
1. Find the Width of Your Wall
- Use a tape measure to measure from one corner of the wall to the other, in inches.
- If you’re wallpapering multiple walls, measure each wall separately and add the widths together.
2. Find the Height of Your Wall
- Measure from the floor to the ceiling at the tallest point of the wall, also in inches.
- If your wall has molding or baseboards, measure from the top of the baseboard to the bottom of the molding (the visible wall space).
3. How much to order
- Choose the panel height that fits your wall by rounding up to the nearest fit. For example, if your wall is 7ft 10in tall, order the 8ft x 19in panel. If your wall height is 9ft tall round up to the 10ft x 19in panel.
- To determine the number of panels you need, take your width and add 2" to ensure full coverage. Divide that combined width by 19" (the width of each panel.) For example if your wall width is 124", add 2" and then divide 126" by 19". Now round that number up to the nearest whole number. Ex: for 126" width wall you will need 7 panels.
3. Note Special Features
- Take note of any doors, windows, or built-in furniture that take up wall space. These areas don’t need to be wallpapered, but you should still include them in your total measurements, as the panels will be installed around them and trimmed as needed.
How to Measure Unique Walls:
1. Standard Flat Walls
- Measure the full width of the wall.
- Measure the height from floor (top of baseboard) to ceiling (bottom of crown molding.)
- Choose the closest matching height; if your measurement is in between two options round up to the next closest size.
2. Cathedral or Sloped Walls
- Identify the highest point of the wall and use this as the height measurement.
- If your height is between two available sizes, round up. Otherwise, select the exact height option.
- Measure width as usual and divide by 19 inches to determine the number of panels.
3. Walls with Windows & Doors
- Measure the full width of the wall as if the windows/doors weren’t there.
- Order enough panels to cover the entire width; excess can be trimmed around windows/doors.
4. Bathrooms or Areas with Fixtures
- Measure around large fixtures but plan to order full-width coverage.
- Peel & Stick Luxe is not recommended for high moisture walls.
5. Ceilings
- Measure ceiling length and width.
- Divide the width by 19 inches to determine panel quantity.
- Choose the closest available height, rounding up only if necessary.
Important: Panels of varying heights cannot be combined, as the patterns will not align properly.
How do I install your Peel & Stick wallpapers?
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Suther Creative Wallpaper
- Smoothing tool (comes with black one)
- Level
- Tape Measure
- Xacto Blade or Utility Knife
- Metal Ruler or Straight Edge
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Larger smoothing tool (optional)
Step 1
WALL PREPARATION
Patch, spackle and sand any imperfections in your walls. Use a lightly damp cloth or sponge to clean the entire wall, especially edges and corners. Allow the walls to dry thoroughly before beginning installation. If your walls were recently painted allow them to cure for 4 weeks prior to installing your wallpaper.
Step 2
PREPARE YOUR PANELS
Unroll your wallpaper and cut on the dotted lines to separate each panel and layout the panels from left to right in numerical order to stay organized. Once your panels are laid out on the floor, check that all panels are free of damage. Double check that you have sufficient rolls to complete the job. If your print was split into multiple rolls, it is important to lay out your panels to determine where your repeats match-up and ensure you are starting with the correct roll.
Step 3
DECIDE YOUR STARTING POINT
Your starting point will depend on factors in your room. Typically panels are hung from left to right but each room is different. Start in the most inconspicuous corner - a back corner, behind a door, or behind a large piece of furniture.
Step 4
MAKE A PLUMB LINE
To ensure you get off to a great start, use a level to make a vertical plumb line 18 1/2 inches in from the corner where you will begin your installation. This plumb line will be your guide to help install your first panel perfectly! Hanging your first panel of wallpaper level and straight is key to the success of your project.
Step 5
HANG YOUR FIRST PANEL
Starting from the top give yourself about an inch of pattern to trim off the top later. Slowly peel back about 18-24 inches of the backing. Stick your paper to the wall, aligning the right side of your panel along your plumb line. Our panels are 19" wide so this will give you approximately half an inch of overlap at the left corner to be trimmed off at the end of your installation. Peel and Stick wallpaper is repositionable, so if you need to adjust the placement slowly peel the paper off the wall and adjust as necessary.
Once the top of the panel is in position, gently peel the paper backing down 5-10 inches at a time and smooth the wallpaper onto the wall. With the smoothing tool, apply moderate pressure moving from the center outwards, over the full surface area of the panel to smooth out air bubbles and ensure firm adhesion to the wall.
Step 6
APPLY THE SECOND PANEL
Pick up your second panel of wallpaper and peel back about 18-24 inches of the backing at the top. If using the Peel & Stick material apply it so that its edge overlaps the previous strip by approximately ½ inch, visually matching the repeat. If using the LUXE Peel & Stick line it up next to your first pattern with no overlap, as the LUXE Peel and Stick is designed to butt together seamlessly. When aligning the panel be sure to use a gentle touch to prevent stretching or warping.
PRO TIP: If you are having trouble keeping your wallpaper aligned while moving down the panel, use painters tape on the seams to keep the top parts from moving while you are working your way down.
Step 7
SMOOTH & CUT
Once you’ve applied all panels, go over your wall with your smoothing tool for extra measure. Then use a sharp xacto blade or utility knife with a metal ruler or straight edge tool to trim the excess at the top, bottom, left and right.
Now you're done! Stand back and admire your beautiful wall!

This plumb line will be your guide to help install your first panel perfectly! Hanging your first panel of wallpaper level and straight is key to the success of your project.
Step 5
PREPARE YOUR PASTE
Prepare paste according to manufacturers instructions. A slightly wetter mixture makes it easier to slide your panels into perfect positioning.
Step 6
HANG YOUR FIRST PANEL
Grab a paint roller and apply a thick and even coat of paste to the wall about the width of a single panel to ensure the paste does not dry before moving onto the next panel. Use a paintbrush to apply paste in the corner and at the top and bottom to ensure you have full coverage. It should be a heavy enough coat that your panel can slide for repositioning on the wall.
Grab your first panel and apply it to the wall by lining up the right side to your plumb line and pressing it to the wall. Due to walls not being level, leave an even amount of excess material above and below the panel (ex: if the panel length is 6 inches longer than the wall, begin installing by leaving 3 inches of extra material above the wall and 3 inches below the wall.) Any overhang will be trimmed at the end of the installation
Install the panel from top to bottom. Use the smoothing tool provided to smooth the wallpaper from the center outwards to smooth out air bubbles and ensure firm adhesion to the wall. As you install, use a wet cloth to wipe away any paste on your panels immediately.
Step 7
APPLY THE FOLLOWING PANELS
Apply the next panel in the same manner. Create a lightly marked plumb line 19" from the edge of your first panel to guide you as you roll on the paste for the second panel. It is important to apply enough adhesive all the way to the edges, top, and bottom to avoid peeling and drying with open seams.
As you hang the second panel be sure to match the pattern on the previous panel and butt the seams tightly up against one another. Do not overlap as the Luxe Traditional wallpaper is designed to be installed seamlessly. Continue smoothing each panel from the center outwards to smooth out air bubbles and ensure firm adhesion to the walls. Use a wet cloth to wipe away any excess paste on your panels, ceiling, and trims as you go.
PRO TIP: If you are having trouble keeping your wallpaper aligned while moving down the panel, use painters tape on the seams to keep the top parts from moving while you are working your way down.
Step 8
SMOOTH & CUT
Once you’ve applied all panels, go over your wall with your smoothing tool for extra measure. Then use a sharp xacto blade or utility knife with a metal ruler or straight edge to trim the excess at the top, bottom, left and right. After trimming use a wet cloth to wipe away any excess paste on your panels, ceiling, and trims.
Now you're done! Stand back and admire your beautiful wall!
How do I remove bubbles trapped under my wallpaper?
Bubbles can occur on your panels when there is an air pocket present causing your panels to not lay flat on your wall. Not to worry though, we can help.
Using a utility knife or needle/push pin poke a small hole in the bubble. You will then take your smoothing tool and work the air out of the bubble using your hand or your smoothing tool. This should do the trick to remove any stubborn bubbles trapped under your panel.
Removing bubbles is extremely important as air pockets lead to adhesion failure.
Are your wallpapers removable?
- We have two Peel & Stick options (regular and LUXE) - Yes, both of these products can easily be removed from your walls and are great for renters.
- Our Luxe Traditional paper requires purchasing a third party wallcovering adhesive, like Zinzer SureGrip or Roman Pro-880. Because we don't supply these adhesives we cannot guarantee the removability of our Luxe Traditional wallpaper.
How do I remove your Peel & Stick wallpapers?
The removal of our Peel & Stick products is easy! Think like removing a giant sticker.
First you will start by exposing a corner of your design and slowly peel it away from the wall. Patience is key in your removal technique as it will decrease any chances of paint flecking occurring during the removal process.
If you have applied your vinyl product to a less porous surface like glass, we recommend using a hairdryer set to a low heat to warm up your wallpaper. This will slightly release the adhesive, making it even easier to peel off.
Once you have peeled up your corner, using two hands continue to pull the wallpaper off your wall from a 45 degree angle until it is completely removed from your wall!
Will the Peel & Stick wallpapers damage my wall?
No, our Peel & Stick products should not leave any residue or paint damage. However, we cannot be sure of the condition and quality of your painted wall surface, and some paint flecking may occur. If this occurs, some minor paint touch-ups will be required. Be sure to peel slowly and with care when you are ready to remove your wallpaper.
Where are your products manufactured?
Proudly manufactured in Chandler, Arizona, where every design comes to life with meticulous craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Feel good knowing that you are supporting American jobs and buying a wallpaper crafted in the USA.
How long will the wallpaper stay up?
If you take care of your product, it has the potential to last over 10 years. Do try to keep your adhesive product away from sunlight and heat sources as this can damage the adhesive and cause your product to peel. We cannot guarantee the adhesives durability outdoors due to varying weather conditions.
